Starting 30th April 2014, Books kinokuniya launches a new limited edition privilege card- MIRAI SUENAGA X BOOKS KINOKUNIYA LIMITED EDITION PRIVILEGE CARD that is specially designed for Kinokuniya Singapore by Mr. Danny Choo, the creator and producer of Mirai Suenaga – the mascot character for Culture Japan.
Membership fees for the limited edition card cost S$30 for a year, for both new and renewal application. Card holders enjoyed the same privilege as per regular card holders. Membership fees is slightly higher but Books Kinokuniya makes the deal even more sweeter by bundling it with awesome free gifts – free Moekana 2nd edition Kinokuniya card and Mirai post it pad.
Existing members can choose to pay S$10 to get a replacement card. But after doing some serious calculation (Sorry! But I’m very stingy when it comes to spending money), I’ve decided that its more worthwhile to renew my membership instead.
Let’s do some calculations here:
Replace regular card to Mirai card = $10
One year regular membership fee = S$21.40
Total = S$31.40
BAD : NO FREE GIFT
Mirai card membership fees renewal (One year) = S$30
GOOD: GOT FREE GIFTS
And so here’s my new Mirai limited edition privilege card. She looks so cute right? Initially, I cannot make up my mind whether or not to get one. But right after my brother got his card, I become super tempted and proceed to get one myself too. And he was kinda like mocking me after that. But who cares as long as I get my hands on cute Mirai Chan.
Got this lovely babe quite some time ago with my magazine purchase from Books Kinokuniya. Its cute and nice but I find the food portion a little small for me. Planning to give it to my cousin who love cute things like me too.
Love shopping for new books and also for awesome magazine freebies such as this at Books Kinokuniya. Especially loved the bargain corner of Books Kinokuniya at Liang Court. Even the stationery department had their own little bargain corner. I once bought a few off season goodies at less than a quarter of its original price from there. Every trip there is like a treasure hunt to me. I’m so loving it.
Thanks to Sister Sheryl for sharing such wonderful link on facebook and also to Giffyt.com for the generous giveaway, I was able to claimed this S$10 Books Kinokuniya voucher. Send a similar voucher to my brother who return me the favour with the same type of voucher too. We are both book lovers and the voucher comes just in handy for my next purchase at Books Kinokuniya. Hooray! I feel so happy!
Can only send out one free voucher per account, but not sure how many one can received though. Limit to the first 200 gift senders only. Not sure if still available. But you may wish to try your luck HERE.
I loved to spent my off days roaming around insides bookstores looking for new books to read. And especially love the bargain corner at Books Kinokuniya Liang Court. I super adored the fact that I can find great books and other items selling at super discounted prices. Not forgetting another favourite section of mine, which is the stationery section. I got most of my pens and pencils supplies from there. Even the stationery section had a small bargain corner too. How can I ever miss checking it out…
I bought myself a copy of Cleo magazine. Each copy comes with a Skinfood Beauty Set containing Skinfood samples and goodies worth S$31.50. The magazine cost me S$3.15, after 10% Kino member’s card discount. Quite worth it for fans of Skinfood samples like me.
And here are the goodies that are inside the Beauty Set. The two larger boxes in the picture contains cotton pads. Am so loving them. Each beauty set also contains a small leaflet for you to claim more samples from any of the Skinfood outlets in Singapore. How more wonderful can things be!!!!
Yes! I know I had lots of pen at home already. But I just can’t seem to stop myself from checking out the stationery department and buying more pens. So when I chanced upon those new babes by Pilot pen, I wasted no time in picking up three of my favourite color.
My last stop was the Bargain corner. Was about to give up when my eyes caught sight of this magazine at the blind corner. Hooray! Its like winning a surprise prize. Am so loving the material of the bag. And its also just the right size for my lunch box. Most importantly, it only cost me S$4.
The material of the black outer bag is like PVC leather, while the violet inner bag seems to be of velvet material. OR at least to me. Shall I use them myself? Or shall I give them to a lucky friend from here?
My favourite bookstore, Books Kinokuniya its 30th year in Singapore. And had come out with a series of promotions and events to thanks their members and more for all these years of support. Its time again to stock up more books.

What more can I say? I’m sure by now my friends all know how deep my love for books are. So much so that I would never have the heart to miss out any book sales, including books warehouse sales as well.
Am so looking forward to getting more books for myself. Not forgetting, the various magazines with fabulous GWP that I might find there. Oh boy! Sure am I excited!
